Rotary Club: Wasilla Sunrise Project Title: Palmer Tennis Courts 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Resurfacing, new fencing and netting, new backboard and area clean-up of 3 tennis courts in downtown Palmer, Alaska. Fall 2021 to Summer 2022. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 10,000 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Community of the Mat-Su borough. Three local high school tennis teams, that practice, play games and hold tournaments on the only 3 court facility in the Mat-Su borough. Members of the tennis association, community recreational tennis and pickle ball players. The use of the facility is free to the community. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 20 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Take down and put-up fencing around courts. Install back backboard. Clean-up area. Helped with resurfacing. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Mat-Su Tennis Association: Fund raising, permitting and volunteer with construction. City of Palmer. 8. Expenditures
