Rotary Club: Chula Vista-Eastlake Project Title: Pumpkin Smash for Science 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Exposure to science, math and physics in a fun and hands-on way will continue to help students to think outside of the box and see different ways on how to be better in school. The financial support provided schools and students the required materials to complete the there interest on the fields of science, math and physics. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 60 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Students and teachers from 10 different schools in the Chula Vista Middle School District 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 10 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Support the event by organizing and coordinating during the event; ensuring safety was followed by all students. Review the equipment to ensure it complies with requirements. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Friends of Chula Vista Park and Recreation; using there contact where available to purchase material at lower that normal price 7.
