Rotary Club: El Camino Real (Oceanside) Project Title: Youth Support in our Community 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Our club supported our Interact Club at El Camino Real High School, by mentoring at meetings, providing lunch at meetings at the High School & doing Three joint clean up projects in the community. We Supported the National Honor Society Club students at El Camino High with providing awards & a dinner celebration for them and their families on 5/17/22. We will also provide Scholarships to students at that time. We supported our local YMCA which is now providing a PreK educational program. And we supported Doors of change which assists homeless youth. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 200 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The Interact students enjoy our mentorship and support of their goals. The NHS students are honored for the community service and scholastic goals. Doors of change provides mentorship and musical instruments to homeless youth. YMCA supports Pre K students, elementary and middle/high students for healthy lifestyles and education. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 13 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Clean ups with Interact - community service and community clean up.
