Rotary Club: Anchorage Hillside Project Title: Children's Lunch Box Support 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The project is one we have been supporting for several years. It is to help feed children in the community who may not have a meal at home. This year we presented a check for $8,000.00 to help pay for food for these meals. Since Covid we have not been able to participate with helping assemble the meals. We look forward to being able to participate soon. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Several thousand children 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries of our contribution were the children who receive meals. This helps to improve their minds and bodies. They are better able to concentrate with a full stomach. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? We are a small club, but with our fund raiser (Moose Marble Madness) our whole club is involved. 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Members sold tickets for our fund raiser, which was very successful. Again with Covid restrictions we were unable to participate in the daily work of the Children’s Lunchbox, but are told that it may open up again soon and we look forward to volunteering. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? We had help from South Rotary with selling tickets for our fund raiser, and hope to coordinate with a Rotary club for 2023 Moose Marble Madness. 7. Income
