Rotary Club: Fallbrook Project Title: Project Mercy 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Project Mercy Baja, a non-profit San Diego agency, built many homes on October 15, 2022 in the colonias east of Tijuana, Mexico. This not only helped improve the basic living standards and quality of life for several destitute families, but also alleviated the health hazards incurred by poor makeshift housing. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Not only the direct famililies but also the neighborhood and community 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Designated needy families received keys to their new home with the help of Rotarians involved with Project Mercy Baja. This will improve their basic living standards and quality of life with permanent safe shelter. Not only the families who received homes, but also the neighborhood and community benefitted were by this humanitarian project. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Members from multiple districts. 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. This project not only provided a home with walls, floor and ceiling but also provided an outhouse for each home built. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Multiple Rotary Clubs and Districts along with the Mexico Rotary Club were able to provide funding and hands on assistance. 7. Income
