Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

Due to Covid LEAD was cancelled. We ended up supporting 2 teams to Model UN with $1,000, 12 students to RYLA, $4800, and $1700 of our $4000 donation for 17 1 week Boys and Girls Club Summer Camp scholarships for children from financially challenged families. This gives us a total of $7500. The Model UN took place in San Diego, RYLA which in Idyllwild, and the Summer Camps at the Boys and Girls Club sites in San Diego County.

2. How many people benefited from this project? about 35

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

All children. They all benefited by learning how to interact with children their own age, mostly new aquaintances. They learn leadership and cooperation skills and in the Model UN, they get an idea of how important worldwide interaction is in our lives

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Probably around 30

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

Organize the children. train them on the importance of interaction.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?
