Rotary Club: Rancho Santa Fe Project Title: Enhancement-Wm's Resource Cntr 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? There were two goals of the grant. First was to install a showering area at Alabaster Jar Projects' Womens Resource Center in Escondido, California. The other was to provide a desktop and a laptop computer. The shower project was complete at the end of June, 2022 and the computer purchases were complete in July of 2022. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Approximately 280 per year. 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries of this project are women who are survivors of human trafficking. Alabaster Jar Project's Womens Resource Center provides Survivors with place where they can go while recovering for support, counseling and vocational training. Many Survivors when they first come to the Center are coming straight from the street and need a place to shower. Rotary has provided this. The computers Rotary provided will assist Survivors in vocation training and job searches. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 14 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. While not directly involved in the construction of the shower area, 14 Rotarians spent a Saturday cleaning, organizing, painting and planting at the Womens Resource Center. 6.
