Rotary Club: Chula Vista Project Title: Tijuana Home Build 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The Chula Vista Rotary Club and friends built a home in Tijuana - in collaboration with Project Mercy. The home was for the Velez-Flores family, a young struggling family from Acapulco. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 3 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The beneficiaries were the Licet, Paulino and Oziel (child) Velez-Flores family. Their previous substandard home was continuously flooding from the many winter storms. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 16 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. They assisted with cutting materials to size for the house, painting, organizing donations and furnishing the home. Rotarians build donated furniture items, prepared snacks, refreshments and lunch for volunteers, family and neighbors. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Project Mercy assisted with screening the family, procuring the build site and materials. 7. Income

District must retain receipts of all expenditures for at least five years. By signing this report, I confirm that to the best of my knowledge these District Grant funds were spent only for eligible items in accordance with Trustee-approved guidelines, and that all of the information contained herein is true and accurate.
