Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

We supported youth initiatives in our community

2. How many people benefited from this project? 22

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

Youth attending YMCA after school programs, Holiday gifts for Salvation Army angels, Doors of change for unhoused youth & RYLA

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 9

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

Shopping, assisting in distribution of gifts for Salvation Army Angels.

Lived Experience mentor and contribute to shower program for homeless families. Members volunteered for LEAD & RYLA programs.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?

Salvation army did gift distribution. YMCA awarded scholarships. Doors of change provided music lessons. RYLA will provide a weekend for HS juniors for development. LEAD program for Middle School Students. Lived Experiences assists young people to avoid gangs.
