Rotary Club: Anchorage International Project Title: ERNC Pollinator Garden 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Eagle River Nature Center (non-profit) Pollinator Garden Project, located in the Chugach Mountains in Eagle River, Alaska. September 2, 2023, 100 Rotarians from Zones 28 & 32 attending the Life on Land symposium did a hands-on project building the pollinator gardens. We moved weeds, rocks and created the layout for 3 garden areas, built and assembled trellis and gates, planted native plants friendly to the pollinator animals. 2. How many people benefited from this project? everyone who visits the ERNC 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? ERNC was the beneficiary, and they were able to create these new gardens with the matching grant dollars, without the funds they wouldn't have been able to create this environmental place for nature and people to visit. This was an environmental and people pleasing project. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 100 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Rotarians from Zones 28 & 32 (100 count) including the current RI President and his wife along with several RI directors participated. Rotarians from across Anchorage and Eagle River provided: Gloves, boots, garden equipment in order to complete phase 1 of the project. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? District 5010 provided funding for the tour bus to take people to and from the hotel to project. 7. Income
