Rotary Club: Chula Vista-Eastlake Project Title: Pumpkin Smash for Science 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Donation was done by the club to purchase raw material required for schools to be able to develop trebuchet; club provided guidance on how to develop them. It was for elementary and Jr high school district in Chula Vista; event was done November 3, 2023 2. How many people benefited from this project? 120 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Students from 15 different schools, teachers and parents involved; basic education was met as students and parents bond to develop using there STEM skills the trebuchet 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 15 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Day of the event, help to coordinate the event and provide support to teams; talk about rotary to the assistances. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?
