Rotary Club: Fallbrook Project Title: Casa Hogar La Gloria 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Casa Hogar La Gloria is located in Tijuana, Mexico. The project for Casa Hogar was to address the increased need for the safety and security of the many children there. Although we were not able to physically help construct the 8-foot masonry wall which surrounds the 1,000 perimeter of the property, we were able to help support the very necessary project to offer the physical and emotional safety needs for their well being. 2. How many people benefited from this project? The entire staff and children who live at the facility. 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The hundreds of orphans and children who are placed in the care of Casa Hogar for reasons of abuse, neglect, or abandonment are the beneficiaries of this project. They are able to find security and a loving home. They are given education, healthcare, spirituality, physical activities and most importantly the love that makes them feel like they belong to a family. The humanitarian need is maternal and child health and basic education and literacy. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 5 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. We had 5 Rotarians in our club that had planned a trip to Casa Hogar la Gloria but, unfortunately, we had to postpone it until the spring of 2024 which is after this report is due. We do have Tricia Garland who is President of Hogar Infantil,Inc. coming April 18 to give a presentation to our club. We welcome other Rotarians from the clubs of our District to join us in hearing about what is being done and what can be done to help these many children. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Hogar Infantil, Inc is the 501 c3 entity that helps administer Casa Hogar La Gloria. 7. Income
