Rotary Club: Southeast San Diego Project Title: Flood Victims Assistance 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? This project was developed as a result of the January floods that predominately affected the Southeast San Diego community.The donations and support provided food, immediate basic needs, cleaning supplies and more to families of students in Balboa, Knox, Ceasar Chavez Schools, Jackie Robinson YMCA. The grant also helped to re-stock a emergency Pantry at Western Service Workers that had been completely depleted by the disaster. 2. How many people benefited from this project? Hundreds 300-500 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 16 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Met with school officials and community groups established to supporting the vicitims of the flood. Members delivered checks, gift cards, cleaning supplies and participated in clean-up. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? N/A 7. Income
