Rotary Club: Rancho Bernardo (San Diego) Project Title: NAMIWalk 2024 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The San Diego and Imperial County Chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness is organizing a walk for awareness and fundraising for their programs in SD and Imperial County. There will also be a Wellness Expo showcasing resources in the County. Our Rotary District 5340 will have a walking team and provide volunteers. The grant request is for funds toward NAMI SD/IC programs on mental health. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? This donation helps NAMI to support people with mental health challenges and their families, to educate people with mental illness, their families, and the community with the goal of reducing the stigma, and to advocate for more research and an improved system of mental health services in our community. This contribution changes lives for the better. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 60 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. In the 2023 NAMIwalk 60+ Rotarians and friends participated in the walk, raising awareness. They also helped with the setup, organization and teardown of the event. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? 7. Income
