Rotary Club: La Jolla Golden Triangle Project Title: Ensenada School Improvement 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? The project was performed in conjunction with a larger painting and rehabilitation project at Escuela Benemerito de la Americas in ensenada, B.C. The project involved the purchase and installation of new fans and lights in select classrooms, mats for classroom reading areas, and the installation of new security lighting. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 100+ students and teachers 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The students and teachers now have fans to reduce heat in the classrooms, better lighting for classroom work, additional security lighting to secure the school after dark, and a comfortable place for children to read during reading times. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 5 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. The project group coordinated the purchase and installation of the new lights and fans, as well as the reading mats. The project group was also part of the larger painting project and provided logistical support for a larger project. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?
