Project Title: Electric Warehouse lift


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

Purchase an Electric Warehouse Lift for Support the Enlisted Project (STEP). The equipment is supporting their distribution warehouse in San Diego.

2. How many people benefited from this project? Hundreds of enlisted Military and their families benefit from the food and living supplied distributed by STEP

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

San Diego County enlisted Military personnel. STEP provided basic necessities for low rank Military. Examples are clothing, food, baby supple and basic household goods. STEP also frovded emergency financial assistance coupled with counseling. Hundreds of individuals and their families are aided each year.

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? Approximately 25

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

We visited the STEP warehouse and packed school supplies into 40 backpacks we had previously purchased for STEP. Later we distributed them at STEP's annual Cammo-to-Collage event where several hundred enlisted and their families explored educational opportunities.

We also manned the refreshment stand at that event, hiding out food and drink.

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?

We partnered with STEP.
