Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

The Rotary Club of San Diego-Pardise Valley conducted the medical Mission to the Philippines to 5 sites. The members of San Diego-Paradise Valley provided free medical consultation, dental hygiene and extraction, minor surgeries, free medications, vitamins and medications for all kinds of diseases. Distribution of reading glasses and corrective eyeglasses to the people in San Fabian, Urdaneta, Tubao La union and 2 sites in Mindoro Occidental, Philippines.

Minor Surgery 102 people

Dental 511 people

Blood Donation 65 people

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

Assisted in the pharmacy

Assisted in the distribution of corrective eyeglasses and reading glasses.

Assisted in dental and surgical.

Assisted in taking Vital Signs

Assisted in the feeding program

6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role?

Mission Hospital Surgeons, physicians, and nurses Seventh Day Adventist surgeons, physicians and nurses. Dentist and local health clinics, Redcross.

Local hair stylist volunteered to provide haircuts.

The local health clinic will follow the need and condition of the people served.

Local Goverment personnel assisted in the crowd control to facilitate a smooth flow of the medical mission.
