Rotary Club: Rancho Bernardo (San Diego) Project Title: 3rd Grade Dictionary Project 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Educators believe that third grade is the reading level that is key for every student. Dictionaries help students learn the meaning of words, how to become better spellers, better readers, better writers and more creative thinkers. It has been proven that students with their own dictionaries use them more often and the connection with a book offers advantages over digital devices. This grant will be used to purchase dictionaries at a highly discounted price and we will distribute directly to students. Club members will be making the presentation to each student while also explaining to the students the role of Rotary in the community, thus enhancing the image of Rotary. 2.
