To Offer 400+ micro credit loans to new borrowers and existing borrowers with small, successful but under capitalized businesses and farmers who want and need additional capital to expand and grow needed services to their local community, and their own profitability. With the recent earthquake in Nepal, many people have lost their livelihood and many people do not have steady income to rebuild their business and houses. Therefore Rotary Districts 7510 and 3292 are working to help economically disadvantaged people in Nepal.

Received e-mail on 7/16/2017 from Rtn Dharma Jajra Bajracharya. Stated that he has frequent correspondence with Laura Bradley, Regional Grant Officer, Rotary grant. He stated that he had "correspondence with her on some clarification she needed in a couple of matters for which I received her email of July 12, 2017. Therefore we are eagerly waiting for email from TRF for approval of our GG application no.1533341."

I also sent e-mail chain of clarification to Dave Breeding et al regarding confusion of Semper Fi funding.

Implemented the project from May 2018 through cooperating partners WEAN and BPW patan. WEAN distributed NRs. 4.352 million to 62 loan recipients from Rasuwa and Kathmandu District. BPW patan distributed NRs. 1.92 million to 37 loan recipients from Lalitpur district. All districts are badly damaged by earthquake of 2015 April.

Loan of NRs. 9,250,000/- was distributed to the 137 members of Micro Credit Project. Club members of Host club and International partner visited project site and supervised process of release of loan and method of repayment of loan by members. Interactions were made with members on uses of loan and benefit derived. Interview were taken with couple of project members and found the project is helpful to them in generating some income which helped them in educating their children. Members requested to increase the ceiling of loan as current ceiling is not adequate to run their respective business and profession.

As planned minimum loan of Rs. 70,000/- is provided to 170 clients to generate further income from their respective profession. Loans are used in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, tea shop, carpet weaving, tailoring, etc. All clients have repaid their loan in timely manner. The project entered in second year from July 2019. Most of them are expecting loans in second year too but some of them are included in secnd year program. Due to price rice they requested to increase loan amount minimum of Rs.15,000/-

Project is on final year of implementation.In last 6 months of second year of this project cooperating partners WEAN Nepal and BPW patan each have invested to 65 & 82 clients respectively ranging from NPR 60,000/ to 75,000/ and NPR 50,000/ to 65,000/ to uplift client's traditional business and profession. Most of the clients are female and doing traditional work in agriculture, vegetable farming, animal husbandry, poultry farming. While others covered are in traditional profession of small restaurants, tailoring, clothing shops,carpet weaving, grocery shops etc.Total amount invested to date is NPR 4,750,000/- for each cooperating partners. Clients are happy for loan of without collateral. Requested to increase the limits being loan is not enough to boost

their business and profession.

In this first 6 months of final year of the project two cooperating partners have distributed loans to 206 clients respectively ranging from NPR 60,000/ to 75,000/ who need additional capital to expand and grow their own profitability thus raising their financial standards. Clients who got the loan are females and doing traditional work in agriculture, vegetable farming, animal husbandry, poultry farming, small restaurants, tailoring, clothing shops, carpet weaving, grocery shops etc. Amount invested to date by two cooperating partners are NPR 9,500,000/-.Clients are happy to get loans without collateral. They have requested to increase the limits of loan being current loan amount can't fulfill their need

This Micro Credit Project # 1533341 is closed from 2021 May. Club is preparing final report to submit to the Rotary Foundation. Project has achieved target of serving 400+ earthquake victims specially women .According to final reports from partners all loans disbursed were paid back without default. This indicates clients who are involved in this project are happy with what they had achieved .

Club got approval from TRF to continue this project for second phase with solo cooperating partner. Another partner is not interested ftp continue in second phase.of the project.

Club is processing for implementation of second phase of the project hopefully after submission of final report of current project.

This project project is extended.for additional 3 years time. But goals and area of implementation are amended with approval from Grant Officer. Now on ward project will implemented only at Kavrepalanchowak, Sindhupalchowk and Bhaktapur districts and will serve 150+ victims within three years time. WEAN Nepal Laghubitta Bittia Sanstha

( Financial Institution) will be new cooperating partner of the project. This project commenced from March 01, 2022 for three years.

A MoU was signed between Wean Nepal and RC Mahabouddha to operate second phase of MC Project for 3 years to help raise economic status of 2015 earthquake victims of some areas of Bhaktapur, Sindhupalchowak and Kavrepanchowak districts of Nepal with project fund of NPR 95,00,000.00 to provide loan to 50 people each year thus making 150 people within project period

To date Rs. 8 million distributed to 72 members in a range of Rs.50 thousand to maximum of Rs. 200 thousand to uplift livelihood of project members. Loans are distributed to members who are in profession of growing vegetables, animal husbandry, poultry farming, who runs small and cottage industries and doing wholesale and retail business. Repayment of loan are satisfactory however loan of 6 members is default.

As this project completes first year we have completed online first annual report and authorized it for further process. Our club President has also authorized the report and waiting for approval of report from grant officer. Further process of approval is still waiting being international partner is not appointed yet from inter national club RC Branchburg. Requested grant officer for her needful action to authorized from international club of project.

During this second year of project 62 people involved in different profession are selected to provide loans to help raise their financial status who are victim of 2015 earth quake. Altogether Rs. 8390400/- was approved in second year of project to provide loan to 62 people. Remaining Rs.1209600/- will utilize for loan purpose when this amount will recovered in coming days from 26 individuals for whom loan was distributed during first year of project. With this amount total disbursement of loan will reach Rs. 95,00000/- to provide loan to munimum of 70 people as targeted.

This micro credit project focused to earth quick victims of Nepal is 3 years project. Presently it is on final year. This year by April 2024 loan is distributed for 46 clients living in remote areas of Kavre & Sindhupalchowak districts. Out of loan recovered Rs. 65,55,000/- has been distributed out of which 95% clients are women between age of 25-45 years. Loans are primarily distributed to utilize in animal husbandry, vegetable farming, agriculture and small cottage business. Period of loans are for one year with repayment schedule of 12 installment. Out of total project fund of Rs.95,00,000 outstanding loan is around Rs. 29,50,000/- which will be distributed after recovered from clients.

This project disbursed loan of NPR.96,00,000.00 to 58 clients in this year 2024 to boost different profession to raise their economic status which they had loosed due the effect of Nepal earth quick of April 2015. In three years of project period altogether 186 victims were benefited from this project in increasing their financial status affected earth quick. Being this year 2024 is the last and final year of this project club is busy in preparing Final Report to submit to grant office before completing the project to close the project account. According to MoU signed with cooperating partner WEAN Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sansth Ltd. This project will be closed by February 28, 2025.
