- to provide Sanitary napkin vending machine and incinerator to the schools / colleges where the girl children between 10 and 21 years are studying. In our country the sanitary napkin incinerators are not popular and not in use. The school / college going girls are facing discomfort when they are in school / college at their menses period. Few private schools / colleges sale the napkins in stores, which the girls are shy to buy and expensive. But in government colleges and schools, there is no provisions to buy napkins or dispose used napkins. Since there is no proper disposal method, the girls dispose the used napkins in Lavatory (or) in some hidden areas, which creates lot of problems and question of hygiene. Hence by installing the vending machines, which the cost of napkin is cheap, we can avoid the discomfort and by providing the incinerator we can improve the hygiene. The maintenance can be taken care by the school / college management, because the cost of maintenance is cheaper when compare to repairing the toilet bocks due to napkins.

We are planning to install vending and incinerator at 20 grils schools and colleges.

Vending Machines : 30 Numbers x INR 30000 = INR. 900,000.00

Incinerator : 30 Numbers x INR 42000 = INR. 1,260,000.00

Napkins :INR 17,988.00

Total : INR. 2,177,988.00 (US$ 49,500)

Once the project is approved & funds released, the project can be executed in 60 days time. The funds will be used for buying of machines, installation & certain quantity of napkins. Awareness, training will be given by Rotary members. The napkins can be refilled by using revenue made through the sales. The maintanence will be taken care by Parents & Teachers association.
