Proposal Form

"Mothers of Peace" project aims at establishing a program in the technical training institute for neglected female children of war in Bugiri-district, Uganda. The mission is to create income generating opportunities and foster psychological healing by providing technical skills and emotional counseling for female ex-child soldiers who are also now mothers. Concurrently, provision will be made for childcare and early childhood education for the children of these mothers. Computer training programs such as: basic computer literacy, drafting and design, computer network systems, and information technology will be provided. The Govt of Uganda and local NGOs have provided the needed building support and facilities needed for the training. This is a sustainable project since the local and the Ugandan governments have promised funding for continuous education past this project.
