Project Description Region: South-East Asia Country: India Location: Tamilnadu Total Budget: $38,750 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy View Online Proposal Form There are many rural elementary schools in District 3000. Computer education is required as part of the school curriculum. However there are many schools that lack a computer on which students can be trained. The basic project would equip these schools with two computers each so that children can have a hands-on experience. A project committee made up of D3000 club members would identify those schools that impart a quality education in the past to children of economically backward families. The schools would commit to having a teacher who is also qualified as a computer instructor on their staff.
