Project Description Region: Asia Country: Sri Lanka Location: Colombo, Western Province Total Budget: $55,550 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene To provide a clean water source and education in proper sanitation and hygiene practices to five rural villages in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Tube wells will be drilled, coupled with a reverse osmosis filtration system and proper storage in each village. Each system will cost $11,100 to acquire equipment, site selection and preparation, installation, testing, training and handover. Host club members will be personally involved at every level of this project. This project will take about a year to complete.
