Health care is an issue in most countries of the world but especially in poorer nations that lack the resources, the medical staff and the infrastructure of hospitals and clinics. The key objective of this grant request is to provide the local population of Ngozi, Burundi, with medical supplies and equipment that are currently not available or under stocked due to significant gaps funding. This grant will be completed in partnership with Project C.U.R.E. and Ngozi Hospital.
Project C.U.R.E.'s Cargo program delivers 40-foot, cargo containers carrying between $350,000 - $400,000 worth of donated medical supplies and equipment to under-resourced hospitals, clinics, and community health centers in developing countries. Project C.U.R.E. collaborates with community partners in each country to develop a high-level understanding of the scope of need. Our thorough, on-site assessment process ensures that every C.U.R.E. Cargo container delivered will meet the specific needs of the recipient hospital or clinic, equipping the medical staff with life-saving tools to improve diagnosis, treatment, and care.
NOTE: Final budget is not set for this project. 39K is estimate and subject to change once assessment is complete.
