Upcycling transforms by-products, waste materials, and useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic, commercial, or environmental value. It reforms and refurnishes waste for another use. It converts waste into value-added products to save resources.

The project will establish a system/model to manage feather waste from the streets and waters of Shivamogga smart city. It will then be reprocessed and repurposed which will give some members of stakeholders an employment opportunity in the sale of the repurposed products. The environment will benefit from an increased substitution of fossil-based for biobased materials derived from waste streams.

• Community engagement commitment

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
