The proposed project involves the design, construction, transport and operation of an Aerobic Wastewater Treatment Plant for Domestic Wastewater, to be installed in the Niña María Foundation, near the Municipality of Alban - Cundinamarca. This compact plant is entirely built in fiberglass reinforced polyester. The plant will treat all domestic wastewater generated by the foundation, ensuring that it is properly managed and treated before being discharged into the environment.
Advantages of the wastewater treatment plant
• Technological: The plant is designed with a modular system that can easily expand to accommodate population growth, making it adaptable to future needs- Modular Aerobic Activated Sludge System.
• Efficiency: it is High Contaminant Removal achieving an 85-90% reduction in contamination (BOD, TSS) from wastewater, ensuring clean discharge.
• Regulatory Compliance:
Fully complies with the parameters established by Resolution 0631 of year 2015 of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, which establishes the parameters and maximum permissible limit values that must be complied with by those who carry out discharges... .
And the parameters established by Decree 3930, of year 2010 of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, with regard to the use of water and liquid waste and other provisions, meeting all legal and environmental standards.
• Economical: Operates with minimal land area, unlike larger systems such as lagoons and it has a Cost-Effective Operation since the plant is easy to operate with minimal maintenance and requires no additional chemicals or bacteria, reducing ongoing operational costs.
• Environmental: The system is an integral solution for controlling odors, as it does not produce methane or hydrogen sulfide gases, which are common in anaerobic systems and lagoons. Additionally, it has an Effective Waste Management since regular sludge extraction ensures proper sedimentation management and prevents the accumulation of waste. No greenhouse gases are produced; therefore, the plant minimizes environmental harm, making it a sustainable option.
• Circular economy: The sludge produced can be repurposed as a fertilizer, adding value by recycling waste.
