 This project will address the avoidable blindness caused by cataract. Cataract accounts for more than half of all blindness. Removal of cataract and its replacement with an intra-ocular lens (IOL) is the most cost effective of all the surgical interventions. The ‘Fight Against Blindness (FAB)’ project will provide 10,000 free and high quality IOL operations for needy people. |
