Ghana School Feeding Program

$15,000

The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) is an internationally- and locally-funded program which provides children in public primary schools and kindergartens in the poorest areas of Ghana with one hot, nutritious meal per day, using locally-grown foodstuffs. Local schools must be properly equipped with kitchen and cooking equipment and fuel to be part of this program. This project will equip a selected cluster of schools with boreholes to provide potable water, and bio-sanitation toilets to provide biogas for the school kitchens and manure for the school gardens, thereby equipping the schools to participate in the GSFP.
