Reduce child mortality,Kerala
|
$24,000

The new Rotary District 3211 in Kerala, the southern most state of India has 120 Rotary Clubs. Our club wish to take up this project to reduce child mortality in our area. This will benefit over 60,000 women
In 1998, about 2.5 million under-5-year-olds died in India, the highest total of any country. The large number of rural population depends on Government hospitals which has a very ill equipped Emergency obstetric care department and new born baby facilities. By upgrading these centers we can decrease the child mortality rates. We wish to take up this project as R.I President is asking us to help reduce child mortality |
