We have been doing this project since 2005. where we started in year 1 with 5 pilot schools, 53 teachers in grade 1 and 2,200 students. We have completed the stage 1 ( year 1 and 2) in 2007, stage 2 ( year 3 and 4) will be completed in Mar 2009. and we are looking for a matching grant to complete stage 3 (year 5 and 6) from June 2009 to Mar 2011. By that time we would have trained 700 teachers and helping yearly 28,000 students in elementary level in 17 schools in Mandaluyong city to be able to read , write and understand English.
