 The Rotary Club of Sogamoso Colombia will implement this project; our project is the creation of a Symphonic Band composed by children, -girls and boys- with special educational necessities because the most of them are deaf-mutes and visually limited; the purpose is to achieve the musical exploration by means of the sensorial stimulation. The expectation is that children, -girls and boys- of the Symphonic Band, learn the importance of the music as a universal language.
The main aspects related with the musical grammar that will be developed have a great importance for their understanding, interpretation and the instrumental part, which will have their beginning in the work and domain of the air by means of breathing exercises and the study of the body of each Instrument; that is to say, Technician-instrumental area.
The present project will be developed through a Matching Grant by acquiring different instruments and by endowing the teaching classroom. 148 students will be beneficiaries in ages from 5 to 25 years; they come from rural and urban sectors of the city of Sogamoso; their families belong to socioeconomic strata 0 and 1. Nowadays, the children are attended in the Educational Institution San Martin de Tours in Sogamoso. |
