Clean water availability is a big problem in many cities of Pakistan. Jhang Saddar is a 1.5 million populated city and contains high salt contents, more than 1500 PPM in most of the parts of the city, which is dangerous to drink according to WHO standards.
Pure water is necessary for life because clean water saves lives. Clean water project of Rotary Club of Jhang Saddar addresses most common reason of water problem; the excess of salts and microbes, which can be removed by filtration and radiation (UV). Five water filtration plants with the capacity of 10,000 liters per hour will be installed in different parts of the city to provide clean water to the poor community of the city.
About 20,000 to 25,000 persons will get benefit from these clean water filtration plants daily.
Water samples have been collected and analyzed from different labs of Pakistan and places have been chosen where the filtration plants are needed.
The project will be completed with in ten months after the receipt of funds. |
