 The project of Rotary Clubs of Surabaya Area is Clean water and Sanitation which is located in Elementary Schools at Balongsari Subdistrict of Surabaya.There are 7 schools with about 300 students each, who come from low social economic background. On average their parents' income is less than US $ 60/month. They work mostly as labourers, road swepers, garbage collectors and vendors.Every school has only 3 toilets for 300 students. The ideal 1 toilet should be only for 40 student. The toilet's condition is very old and very delapidated and dirty.The school have no water resorvoir, no water pump and no washing outlet. |
