Because of lack of funding from the national government, Municipal Health Offices have to tap volunteer Barangay (Village) Health Workers to deliver basic health-care needs to remote villages and communities. These volunteers do not receive a regular salary nor are they provided with the basic tools needed in their delivery of services. Because of this, the quality of their services deteriorates and becomes inadequate.
This project intends to provide sixty (60) volunteer Barangay (Village) Health Workers serving in the town of Calauag, Quezon, Philippines, with the following:
One (1) unit Nebulizer
One (1) unit Sphygmomanometer
One (1) unit Stethoscope
One (1) Set First Aid Kit
One (1) Unit Digital Thermometer
One (1) unit Vaccine Carrying Case
One (1) unit Carry-all Bag
The project can be completed in three (3) months – from the purchase of the medical equipment to the turnover to the Municipal Health Office. |
