Clean Water For School

$21,750

Our club wants to provide clean drinking water to school going children by providing the schools with water from a clean water source where it is available and providing tube wells where it is not available so that they have a healthier life and mortality due to water borne disease is minimized.

This project will be taken up in and around Bolpur City in about 52 schools. We have already supplied stainless steel plates and mats to these schools for the children to have more hygienic mid day meal and decent sitting arrangements.

This will benefit all school going children in the age group of 6 - 10 who go to primary schools. Their number would be about 7000.

During the survey it was found that quite a few schools have a source of clean drinking water where the connection and internal plumbing would solve the problem and some schools do not have such source and they have to be provided with a tube well.
