Cervical Cancer Detection

$12,850

The project is to install a video colposcope in a hospital catering to poor patients in the port town as well as use the portable equipment to carry out camps in various towns and villages in the state of Goa.

Goa is considered as the cancer capital of India with about 700 cases per million of population. The lifestyle of the women in a state where almost 40% of women are unmarried even at the age of 40, makes them at risk for breast as well as cervical cancer.

The project shall be completed within 6 months of receipt of funds.
