For 500 Cataract Surgeries

Rotary club of Osmanabad,(26501-3132) a host club from district 3132, HAS WELL ESTABLISHED charitable trust for last 10 years. It has established 25 bedded eye care hospital in 2006, which has conducted about 100 village camps and 2000 surgeries so far. 50 % of the surgeries are conducted free on poor patients. This project proposes to undertake 500 free cataract surgeries on poor patients who are already identifed in village camps. The hospital is well equipped with all equipments and staff, and has excellent reputation of 100 % success in all operative cases so far. The proposed grant will be utilised for meeting the cost of these surgeries.

The TRF Staff in charge of this grant is Laura Bradley (laura.bardley@rotary.org).

This project is approved by TRF. The amount is disbursed throygh TRF to Osmanabad club. The project is being implemented at present. Out of 5oo operations projected, 400 cases are done with. Interim report as on march 2011 is also submitted.
