Rain Water Harvesting Project
$24,400
The rain water is neither saved nor preserved for any use, hence the wealthiest resource is allowed to go waste. Moreover, it leads to flooding in the low lying areas. Ground water recharge is the only solution to this problem. The town of Roopnagar has a population of 50,000. The old town was situated on a hillock. The haphazard growth of the town has led to blockage of natural water channels. RC Roopnagar proposes to install deep bore wells to drain the rain water to avoid flooding as well as recharge groundwater level. These deep bore wells will be installed at four places including two schools in the town. |
