   India - Sakthinagar

School Furniture

$20,000

This school is in southern India in the state of Tamilnadu in the village of Sakthinagar. It is a rural area in a school of about 1500 students. The students in the middle school have to sit on the floor because there is no futnirue available. This is very difficult in that studying is affected and during the winter season the climate is unsuitable for learning indoors. During examination periods it is difficult to sit on the floor for 3 hours to participate in the exams.
