Mini Dumptrucks

$19,000

the provision of two “mini” dump trucks serves at least three purposes. 1) the barangay itself benefits in creating a healthy, clean environment (reduction of cases of malaria, dengue, intestinal and respiratory diseases) and better yields from their crops. 2) with a regular, self-managed trash collection in place, the barangay can start implementing it’s planned trash segregation project - currently not possible, since, even when segregated, the trash ends up on the same truck/landfill - thus contributing to recycling efforts and general environmental protection. 3) the municipality as a whole will benefit by becoming more attractive for the tourism sector.

The trash collected will be deposited at the official municipal dumpsite. Segregated waste will be channeled to recycling facilities.

We suggest two “mini” dump trucks instead of one larger one, in order to accommodate the narrow roads and lanes in the barangay and because they provide more flexibility.
