O T Equipments for Eyehospital

$29,444

Rotary Club Khurja had taken up a project of setting up of an Eye Hospital at Khurja some 10Years back. One of our members Rtn. Mool Chand Agarwal took the initiative and donated nearly 2000 Sqm of land for the purpose. In 2003 its foundation was laid and construction work began with the funds generated through the generous donations by the Rotary club Members only. We are grateful to Dr. K M Goel, retd. Sr. Paediatrician, Royal Hospital for sick children, Scotland, Glasgow, UK, who donated Rs. 50000 generously. In 2007 the building construction got over and the Eye Hospital in its true sense started working then onwards. Now the popularity of this Eye Hospital is rising day by day and the no of patients is also going up simultaneously. A lot of patients are reporting for cataract surgery but we do not have necessary ophthalmic surgical instruments nor the resources to purchase them to carry out Cataract Surgeries as a result we are bound to forward these patients to Noida and other far flung places for surgery as there is virtually no proper Eye Care facility around Khurja Town within a radius of nearly 45 KMs.

We have already set up an Operation Theatre in its building but in the absence of required Opthalmic Surgical Equipments, which are beyond the scope of our resources because of their high prices, it is not functional.

In view of all this all members of Rotary Club Khurja request you to kindly arrange funds from the Rotary Foundation through Matching Grant.
