India School Project

By providing school materials, uniforms and transportation for 500 students at a cost of $50/student/year, this project will be able to educate this generation of children for the first time ever in this rural section of southern India. By facilitating their education, these children will be better able to provide for themselves and their families; thereby directly helping to break the endemic cycle of proverty

Status and Progress Information

Completed

This project is completed. Project listed for the 2004-05 Rotary Year.

The Matching Grant application number from TRF is #52327.

The project is 100% funded and very much in need as the school year has already begun.

Status at TRF is "Reverted". Project paperwork is on hold until the Tiruchirapallii Rotary Club submits a report for project #21,242.

The district in India has now been cleared and we are resubmitting the paperwork.
