Paediatric Heart Surgery

The project aims to have corrective surgery for heart defects of about 25 children with parents who cannot afford the cost. In a population of about 20 million, for every 1000 live births about 8 children are born with heart defects of which about 4 are from very economically deprived homes.

The grant will be used exclusively only to correct defects of children below the poverty line in India and neihbouring Sri Lanka.
