First 10 patients have been treated and have received their new prosthetic legs. There has been a delay in getting stainless steel tubing for the next batch of legs from the only supplier in Bolivia. Last week they were able to procure the needed supplies. In the meantime they've been producing "below the knee" prosthetic legs.

The next installment of Grant funds have been distributed to the Prosthetic center in Bolivia to pay for the prosthetics of 10 more amputees. And the work goes on. We now have 97 patients on our books with most having already received their prosthetics but many more are constantly coming to our door step as they find out about the program. thanks to everyone for your help.

Cento de Miembros Artificiales just celebrated it's two year anniversary this past Tuesday. We had some press, a representative from the mayors office as well as from the national Rotary Bolivia governorship. We also made this video about our most recent patient who is a quadriplegic. It is a very amazing video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X_YoqJL50M. Thank you everyone for your support to put this grant together and we are marching forward.

This project continues to provide prosthetic legs and, to date, has funded the production and distribution of 104 lower limbs to needed Bolivian amputees. The work continues, one-by-one, giving these amputees the ability to walk again, get jobs again and support their families again. The clinic has also formed it's own non-profit Bolivian foundation.

The grant may be complete but the support that was provided by this grant allow the work to continue in Bolivia with their latest 3D printed hand. The new donated 3D printer has been whipped into submission and is able to print a very clean hand now. And it functions very well. Super cool!!! Now the clinic can start inviting more hand amputees to come in, in addition to all the leg amputees we can currently help.
