NICU Equipments

$21,000

Setting up a tertiary level NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at District hospital, Jalgaon. Jalgaon district has a population of 3.2 million but has only one 4 bedded NICU currently with secondary level facilities. This facility lacks equipment for neonatal ventilation. Mortality rates are very high in newborns coming to the district hospital. With the installation of new equipment we will be able to save lives of many neonates from the poor and needy community. Cost of NICU in private centers is very high and beyond the reach of majority of citizens. In addition, there are only 2 private centers at present in the whole district having tertiary level facilities. With the establishment of such a facility at the government district hospital, we will be able to save lives of at least 150 new born babies every year.

We wish to donate Neonatal ventilator, Radiant heat warmers, phototherapy units, NIBP and Pulse Oximeter monitors, syringe pumps and Neonatal suction machines. We expect machines to be deliverd within one month of placing order for these equipments.
