IOL Cataract Surgeries

Project targets to Screen over 4500 vision impaired at rural camps and identify eligible patients for 700 IOL Surgeries. Rotary Club of Hooghly has been doing IOL Surgeries to cure cataract blindness for underprivileged patients for last 11 years. The Host Club has been actively and successfully organizing Free rural cataract screening camps with all necessary pre operative check-ups (viz: ECG, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure) to identify beneficiaries and identified patients have been operated-IOL surgeries at our well equipped Rotary Hooghly Eye Hospital.

∙ Organizing Cataract Screening Camps in rural areas for needy and underprivileged patients involving Rotarians, RCC members and Community Leaders.

∙ Perform 700 Free IOL Surgeries within 12 months of receipt of funds
