The Gbagada Rotary Club, Lagos State, Nigeria, District 9110, plans to build two water wells in the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State. These wells will provide potable water for up to 10,000 people who are currently without a safe local source of drinking water. Each well's holding tanks (two tanks per well) will have three or four fetching points extending from the tank. Potable local well water will prevent disease from contaminated surface water, eliminate the need to travel long distances to find clean water, and allow children to spend more time in school rather than carrying water from distant sources. |
