Student Lunches

$36,800

Education plays a key role in freeing poor children from the cycle of poverty. In order to get a decent education, students must be properly nourished so they can pay attention. In Tijuana there is no "free lunch program" and with hardly enough money to sustain their families, many children are sent to school hungry. This grant will provide a nourishing meal to 400 children in a poor Tijuana school.

The program is planned to last from January to May 2007.
