Surgical Operating Table

$75,101

St. Stephen's Hospital is a charitable hospital in Delhi, India, known for the health care it imparts to the economically weaker sections of society. Its department of orthopedics is active in rehabilitation surgeries for adults and children with paralytic disorders of various origins. The hospital at this time uses an operating table that broke down after 7 years of being in use. Consequently surgeries, especially on the spine, are difficult to perform. Last year about 1400 surgeries were performed, and about 15,000 surgeries have been performed in the last 10 years. A new operating table will facilitate ease of surgical procedures. Once the grant is awarded, and the funds reach St. Stephen's Hospital, the project of table purchase will be completed within 12 months.
