Rotary Club of Mithi is located in a town consisting of 50,000 residents. The Club has been actively pursuing provision of drinking water to the poor presidents of the local town and nearby communities. The Club plans to provide deep well and install hand pumps in rural areas in Interior Sindh to provide safe drinking water to the poor communities in the region. The project will help the poor, specially the women, who are primarily responsible in the rural areas to fetch water from far flung areas for their households. The Club is requesting two (2) deep wells, ten (10) deep pumps and twenty five (25) hand pumps, which will serve poor communities in rural Mithi, Omerkot, and surrounding towns. |
